What A Good Browser Should Have
There are lots of available browsers out there. They all offers different features and functionalities. Most of them promises to be more secured and fast. It is now up to us users to determine the good browser against the bad browser.

Below are some of the characteristics of a good browser.
It must have a reliable security features to protect users from any online threats.
The infamous Internet Explorer from Microsoft integrated to their browser a dangerous feature called “active x” back in 1996. This feature allows the execution of softwares inside IE. Although Microsoft gave themselves a huge advantage against their counterparts, it opened doors to malwares and other malicious programs to be able to execute inside the browser, it also give a terrible opportunity for hackers and crackers all over the world to easilty exploit even the smallest bug in the program to run their own software within the browser. This poses a big threath to users because what you type will be seen by a dangerous cracker.
It must be Free.
This would not be a problem because all browsers now are free of charge. It will be very difficult for someone or a company to charge for this kind of software even plugins and addons are free.
Ability to respond quickly any problem.
For me, open source browser community provides a more quicker respond to any security alert or any software bugs than any company. Those community are devoted to keep their preffered browser free of any bugs or errors. They work for the sake of helping people to be more secure in teh Internet.
Must offer additional functionality.
Some browsers like Internet Explorer were not carefully planned. This makes it very difficult to add new festures because it will definitely hurt the design of the software. It’s like building a house with no proper planning, in this case you will have a very hard time to put a bathroom where there is a corridor now. This is what exactly is happenning to Internet Explorer.
Should provide updates often.
No software are perfect but to be able to fix those errors software company must be able to provide an update not just to fix those problems but also to add useful features. When was the last time your preferred browser gives you an update?
Help users correct mistakes.
Browsers should have a user correcting feature like a spell checker to help users fix mistype words. This is very essential especially for those people who are always in a hurry and are typing a email message, blog or making an website entry.
Includes a search bar.
Who doesn’t search? almost %100 of the internet users search for anything on the internet so a search bar is very important to any browser. Good search bars should also have the ability to anticipate your needs and being able to make any useful suggestions.
Ability to block pop-ups.
Pop-up blockers somehow gives users a peace of mind and save them from those annoying popping and flashing advertisements. A good browser should have the ability to effectively block those irritating ads. With a reliable pop-up blocker your search engine can quickly give you uncluttered web sites with no pop-ups.
Restore Session Feature.
I know most of us don’t want to start over at the beginning so a restore session is a must have feature. This is very handy in case your computer suddenly crashes and automatically closes your browser or reboots your machine. This feature saves or remembers what website you are currently working on.

thanks for the sharing .Thanks for the info on the plugins. That’s what makes bloggers so great, you all share so freely.
you should download safari and test it out i thought it was ok but i prefer mozilla firefox you can always download one or both of these or ones that people suggest just look at what they have and test them out see which you like better and just keep the one you want.
I am a big fan of Firefox solely for the free ad-ons that are available. Very much like all the free plugins for Wordpress make it super popular.

The Restore Session feature is one of the most useful and most appreciated for me. I can’t count the number of times this feature has helped save me from those horrible computer crashes or power outages. But the most important for me would probably be the security features. A browser should be able to protect your computer from malware and viruses. The more thorough the security is, the better.
There is no problem with firewalls. Most offices and many individuals protect their computers and networks from hackers by using a firewall. This is good for security but can become a problem if we are trying to join people together in a conference.
Good post about characteristics of a good browser. IMO Firefox browser is best for me. Thanks.
Really these characteristics are very impressive. it is really very good. Nice features. Thanks for it.

I want to find a browser based mmorpg that are not text based. anyone know any good ones?
A good browser should have geniune clarity, particularly to the lay person, and particularly regarding their privacy policy…. I’m personally not a fan of being free market research material just so I can be spammed better when using search engines and ads…. (say no to Chrome!).
Standardised HTML would be another great thing as well. As someone who builds websites, it’s a real pain having your work look, sometimes massively different in different browsers.

Yeah a decent firewall automatically blocks or stops a robot from seeking entry to our computer. Like a castle wall prevents an attacking army from entering the courtyard.
I think FireFox is much better than Internet Explorer. I am also using it and like to have work with it. there are many browsers in market you can chose according to your need.
Any browser that helps the user combat spam is a good one in my book.

I would generally prefer to Mozila firefox. Because it has all the above said features. The one thing that i really appreciate about mozila is that it restore facility. Mozila restoration facility is like anything.
Firfox is better for me by the way thanks for info about a good browser.
Opera,Mozilla,Netscape or ie.I personaly like Netscape.
what are your choices and why.And if Netscape is not your choice then why? please reply. Thanks.
I prefer Mozilla… I also like Netscape for the main reason of it is based on Firefox engine. it’s just sad they stop the support for that browser.
Different browsers have different quality. It depends on your choice and needs. FF is suitable for me.
the browser I always use for this is firefox. and there is never a problem
I’m gonna have to side with Firefox on this one, especially regarding updates, because it’s free. Windows is pretty strict when it comes to IE updates. If they find that your software is not original, they can disable any update on IE (plus that annoying blue star will appear on your taskbar forever). That’s why I don’t my IE 6 to 8, or my Media Player 10 to 11, though I want to.
For me, FF is good, but Google chrome is very good for my needs, very fast and great interface.

For me personally I feel like if Google Chrome can implement the customability that Firefox has, it will be the best browser in the market by far.

A few days before i have a look at safari browser. its looks very good some of its features are very nice. In future i can fix it.
I recently discovered Opera unite, it is an excellent browser, with lots of features and turbo for slow connections.
For me the good browser to have is the firefox… it has the feature that is safer and more secure for browsing, faster, and it is also customizable compare to IE..

This is the feature any web browser should have. I credit Mozilla for having this automatic restore session feature. After all, it’s the one that is always crashing.

I completely agree with your point. The main and the most important thing is that a good browser must have good security features. Thanks for sharing such a nice information. it is very helpful for all internet surfers.
“There are lots of available browsers out there. They all offers different features and functionalities.”
I find Mozilla as the best browser containing all these features. Updates are regular and maximizing it is easy to learn.
“For me, open source browser community provides a more quicker respond to any security alert or any software bugs than any company…”
Mozilla consistently reports any updates for their features and add-ons before the browser fully opens. It allows me to pick which specific add-ons can work for my life style and get the latest updates for maximum use.
“They all offers different features and functionalities.”
Google Chrome has the best interface out of all the browsers. Because of the simplicity, it feels less of a hassle to use it but is not recommendable for downloads.
It is very informative. It describes the features of a browser. It should have proper securities. It must be free. And help users to correct mistakes.

I heard Google Chrome is best one. Because It’s prevent our computer from hacker attack. How do you think?

Internet explorer has lost its market due to number of bugs and its exploitation by malicious people to conduct phishing attacks. Also, it runs really slow compared to other browsers. Mozilla Firefox with no doubt is most secure and it can be easily customized with number of quality plugins & add-ons. Only major weakness of firefox that I have noticed is there ineffective pop-up blockers. Google Chrome meanwhile has one of the best pop-up blockers, but overall Firefox is the King of all browsers.
