Meet the newest defragging software
You might think and say that I’m just gonna review and recommend another usual type of defragging software, but guess what I’m gonna introduce a new different type of defragging software. But before I continue to describe this fascinating software let me first explain what is Defragmentation and how it can help optimize your computer’s performance and reliability.
Defragmentation is the process of reducing the amount of fragmentation and organizing the contents of your harddisk to store the pieces of each file close together and contiguously.
Fragmentation is caused by creating and deleting files and folders, installing new software, and downloading files from the Internet. Computers do not necessarily save an entire file or folder in a single space on a disk; they’re saved in the first available space. After a large portion of a disk has been used, most of the subsequent files and folders are saved in pieces across the volume.
When you delete files or folders, the empty spaces left behind are filled in randomly as you store new ones. This is how fragmentation occurs. The more fragmented the volume is, the slower the computer’s file input and output performance will be. The job of defragging tool is to arrange those fragments so it can be easily access for faster performance.
Last October Piriform release their own version of defragging utility called Defraggler. Defragger is different from other defragging software, this utility gives you the option to select individual files and folders to defrag. Defragging job can be done in matter of seconds because you don’t need for the whole drive to complete.
