How to Speed up Vista by Limiting Visual Effects
Slow Vista performance is the number one problem of most the Vista users especially those computer users that has a machine with 1gb or less of ram. Last October I wrote an article on how you can effectively increase your Vista performance and I wrote there that the number one tweak for your Vista is to add more ram but what if you don’t have a budget for a ram upgrade? well here is a very simple but very effective way on increasing the performance of your Windows Vista, it is by limiting your Windows Vista visual effects.
Follow these steps to limit Vista visual effects.
Right Click on Computer then select properties
Click on Advanced System Settings, Click on Advanced tab then click Settings
Click on the Visual effects tab then select “Adjust for best performance” then click OK.
After limiting the visual effects you will immediately notice a dramatic improvement on your system’s performance.

Thank you for this! You have no idea how frustrating Vista has been on me performance-wise.
Excellent, I am not bothered about all the jazz that comes with vista, I just want the operating system to work smoothy. AKA XP !!
