How to Easily Restore Lost “Show Desktop” Button
Did you accidentally delete your “Show Desktop” button and you are having a hard time locating for it? This is one of the most common question I receive from my friends and blog readers “How do I get back my show desktop icon on my quicklaunch”. To help all of you solve this problem, I will provide here a very step to recover your lost “Show Desktop” button on your quick launch.
First, Open your notepad and copy and paste the following codes:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
Save the file as “Show Desktop.scf” in C:\Documents and Settings\slavezero\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch directory.
That’s it, your Show Desktop is back. You can make a backup of your Show Desktop file by placing it into your mail, saving a copy of the codes by txt format, placing it on a usb device or any other backup device you prefer, so you will not have a problem again on how you can get back that Show Desktop button.
