Don’t forget to mention that smokers have it way worse. In a smokers home all the tar collects on the computer components and causes the dust to stick. If you get in a situation where you cant get the compressed air to move the dust, sometimes you have to get a rag and q-tips and use Denatured Alchohol to wipe down all the components that you can.

Unfortunately cleaning laptop as well as opening it is not easy as desktop. It has a more delicate procedure. If your Laptop is still under warranty I don’t recommend cleaning it by yourself because it will void any warranty even if you didn’t tear up the stickers, I suggest you to bring it to your dealer and ask to them to clean it for you. If warranty is not an issue you can start by opening and cleaning the heatsink because that is the one that acquires more dust, Use soft cloth and rubbing alcohol in cleaning your LCD don’t use tissue paper cause it may scratch your screen.
